Financial Literacy

The Financial Literacy Project is funded by the DfES Skills for Life Unit until March 2008. Our priorities are:

  • Developing the use of a financial context as a way of teaching literacy and numeracy to adults up to Level 2

  • Disseminate research and development work into the most effective ways of delivering literacy and numeracy in a financial context. Further information can be found on the Practice pages.

  • Delivering training to basic skills practitioners to increase their capacity to delivery financial literacy to learners.

  • Working with the Financial Services Authority on delivering the National Financial Capability Strategy.
