Financial Literacy & Skills for Life

The Basic Skills Agency is committed to helping people of all ages who struggle with words and numbers in their everyday lives. We are supported by the DfES to promote the delivery of literacy and numeracy in a financial context.

Financial Education Accreditation Group

This is made up of people involved in the production of accredited courses in Personal Finance subjects. The aims of the group are to

  • Share knowledge, record and map existing qualifications
  • Engage the QCA to help clarify their thinking on Personal Finance as a subject and the processes of accreditation
  • Promote joined up thinking and approaches to the development of accredited courses in Personal Finance subjects

If you have not previously attended a meeting but feel that you really should be at the next one, contact Howard Gannaway at NIACE by e-mail at howard.gannaway@niace.org.uk. We shall only consider appeals from Awarding Bodies and Educational Institutions that are delivering accredited qualifications at this stage!
