The National Strategy for Financial Capability is led by the FSA and brings together financial services industry, consumer and voluntary organisations, government and media to find ways to improve the UK's financial capability.

Financial capability is a broad concept, encompassing people's knowledge and skills to understand their own financial circumstances, along with the motivation to take action. HM Treasury are currently producing an Action Plan for the end of 2007 on how to improve levels of financial capability in the UK.
