Young Parents
Teenage parents and parents-to-be form a group of young people who might already be disadvantaged, and whose education may be further disrupted at this critical time in their lives. Research shows that teenage expectant parents may already be disengaged from school and be excluded, or at risk of exclusion. Teenage parents, and their children, are more likely than their peers to live in poverty and unemployment and be trapped in it through lack of education, childcare and support.
